Day 4: Arbolatum, Music for a Forest
- Date
- 19 April 2021
“Arbolatum” by Mariano Losi and Martín Virgili (2019) is an immersive sound action to be carried out in a forest, involving an undetermined number of performers and instruments, based on guidelines for action and musical improvisation.
The action is an invitation to recognize the sounds of the forest, and to be recognized oneself as sound within a larger active sonic network. Through music and sound, participants merge with the most diverse nuances of heard and seen matter, unfolding in the process as a superorganism in constant transformation.
