Winter / Summer Solstice Action

21 guests / 21 locations / 21 images

We want to share a project that’s very special to our creative community. In June of this year we asked 21 friends in different places to carry out a simple but mysterious action.

Sound task: pay attention to the soundscape of the chosen place, and then draw a circle in chalk on the bark of a tree, at noon (12:00 pm local time) on June 21, 2022.

Requirements: a piece of chalk, any color, and a mobile phone with a camera.

Inspiration: “Within the narrowest limits, within the most precise task, there is more freedom than in the most immeasurable space that modern sensibility can imagine as a place of leisure.” — Hugo von Hofmannsthal
